Amidst the hustling and bustling financial district of Makati lies the country's premier shopping, recreational, and entertainment place - the Ayala Center. It is a grand complex of shopping malls, cinema, events areas, and various dining establishments anchored mainly by Glorietta, Greenbelt, SM Makati. Located at the corner of Ayala Avenue and EDSA, the place is just a stone's throw away from the MRT and Ayala Transport Terminal.
Ayala Center is home to the following attractions:
1. Glorietta 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - the major landmark in Ayala Center and one of the earliest shopping center to be built by the Ayalas. Glorietta has two sets of cinema houses totaling to 10. Formerly called Quad, the mall has four interconnected buildings (Glorietta 5 is a late addition and is separate from the complex) and meets in the center which serves as a playground and events center. Restaurants in the Glorietta include Hard Rock Cafe, TGIF, California Pizza Kitchen, Triple V - Dad's/Kamayan. Gold's Gym is also located here.

3. SM Makati - one of the original SM Department Stores started by Henry Sy, Sr. (in 1975) and was relaunched in 2004 and still withstands the competing malls in Ayala Center. It is the mall connecting the Ayala MRT Station to the Glorietta complex. Anchors include Ace Hardware and Toy Kingdom.
4. The Landmark - a standalone department store that caters to high-end consigned goods. Most tourists and foreign businessmen visit this place to shop.
5. Park Square 1 and 2 - these two buildings currently houses electronics, DIY, sports equipment, and telecom stores.
6. Rustan's Makati - first department store to be built by the Ayalas and serves the most elite class in the country.
7. 6750 Ayala Avenue - a multipurpose building that hosts the top BPO and multinational offices in the country.
8. Luxurious hotels such as Hotel Intercontinental Manila, Dusit Thani, New World Renaissance Hotel, Shangri-La Makati, Ascott Makati (formerly Oakwood).
9. The Link - a multipurpose building with the top five floors serving as parking space and the first two floors housing shops and restaurants such as Anson's.
10. Sto. Nino de Paz Chapel - situated in Greenbelt Park and visited by people by all walks of life.
11. Ayala Museum - an authority and institution in terms of priced historical possession that can be found in the corner of Makati Avenue and dela Rosa Street. Events as simple as educational field trips or as elite as unveiling important memorabilia are held in this area. Exhibits include dioramas and historical maritime vessels. The museum is just beside Greenbelt 5.

Option 1. From EDSA, ride a bus southbound to Baclaran/Alabang and get down at Ayala Center.
Option 2. From EDSA, ride the MRT bound for Taft and get down at Ayala MRT Station.
From the South (of Makati - Pasay, Alabang Area):
Option 1. From Pasay/Baclaran EDSA, ride a bus northbound to Monumento/Fairview and get down at Ayala Center.
Option 2. From EDSA-Taft, ride the MRT bound for Ayala, and get down at the MRT Station.
Option 3. Ride a jeepney going to Alabang and get down at Magallanes. Cross EDSA and go under the Magallanes flyover going to SLEX, jeepneys going to Pasay Road pass by under the Magallanes-SLEX flyover.
Option 4. From SM Mall of Asia, ride a jeepney bound for Don Bosco/Pasay Road, go down at the corner of Pasay Road and Pasong Tamo and hop on to another jeep bound for Glorietta via Pasay Road.

Option 1. Take a jeepney going to Market! Market! and from there take a jeepney or bus bound for Ayala-EDSA.For private vehicles: Ayala Center Makati is between Ayala Avenue and Pasay Road (Arnaiz Ave.). It is also situated between EDSA and Paseo de Roxas. Traffic has been always a headache around the area during rush hour because of the Makati business district. Also, one has to take note of the MMDA Number Coding Scheme implemented in Makati.
Option 2. You can also take a jeepney with the route "Ayala-Pateros".
- If you are coming from EDSA southbound, you can take a right turn at Ayala Avenue, then find the nearest turn to enter Ayala Center. It is advisable to enter (via a left turn) the first or the second stoplight. Rustan's, Glorietta 5, and/or 6750 will be the landmark corners.
- From Fort Bonifacio, Market Market, or Serendra, pass through McKinley Parkway, cross 5th Avenue and go through Forbes Park via McKinley Road until you reach EDSA (Shell is on the right side of the corner), cross EDSA and that's Ayala Center already.
- If you are coming from SLEX from the south, there are 2 options:
- Take the Don Bosco street - this is the first street crossing the PNR railways from Magallanes. Then turn left at Pasong Tamo and just go straight. When you reach Pasay Road turn right and go straight. Paseo de Roxas will be where Greenbelt 1 is. Greenbelt Drive will lead you to Greenbelt 4 and 5, while the next street (Makati Avenue) where there's a big intersection will lead you to Landmark, Glorietta, SM Makati and the rest.
- Take the flyover leading to EDSA and then take a left upon reaching Ayala (do not take the tunnel).
